Brief History and Description of the Place

The word "alquería" comes from the Arabic term "qarya," which refers to a geographical space, a rural village where an autonomous and self-sufficient community lives.

Alquería de Rosales is located in the municipality of La Puebla de Don Fadrique, in the northern part of the province of Granada.

In 1993, the Romero family donated the land in perpetuity, creating an independent charitable "waqf" called Asociación Cultural Azagra.

The Alquería de Rosales complex consists of a 117-hectare agricultural and livestock farm, situated at the foot of the La Sagra mountain range, a place with significant ecological value and great biodiversity, surrounded by beautiful landscapes.
